Founding Story & Editorial Commitment
Limberfield started after years of reading the same recycled ageing advice across dozens of sites, all unsigned, all vague, most clearly written to rank in search results rather than to help anyone move better after 40. We wanted a publication where every piece had a name attached to it and a source behind every claim.
The team works the same way on every article: a writer researches and drafts, a second editor checks the piece against current public guidance and strips out anything unverifiable, and it only goes live once both are satisfied. Older articles get revisited when guidance changes, not left to go stale.
We don't run sponsored placements disguised as advice, and we read every message that comes through our contact page. If something's wrong, we correct it openly rather than quietly editing it away.
Plain Language
We write the way we'd explain something to a friend, not the way a textbook would. If a sentence needs a dictionary, we rewrite it.
Named Sourcing
Every factual claim links back to where it came from. If we can't find a credible source, the claim doesn't run.
Reader Dialogue
We read every message that comes through our contact page and use it to shape what we cover next.
How We Keep Standards Up
Every draft passes through a second editor who checks it against current public guidance and removes anything that can't be traced to a source. We also revisit older articles when guidance changes and note what was corrected.
We started Limberfield because most ageing advice online is recycled filler written to rank, not to help. Every article here is researched, dated and credited to the person who wrote it, so you always know what you're reading and why.
